How I Work
First, I may talk you out of a few activities. Then it makes sense to discuss what to add.
Over years with my own and client projects, I have seen plenty of well-executed things that solved the wrong problem. That is why I do not start with a tool or channel. I start with the decision marketing should support.
First, I assemble the company’s situation
I am interested in the business objective, margins, people’s capacity, customer journey, current suppliers and why the topic opened up now. Marketing does not work in a vacuum.
In my own projects, I have repeatedly seen that a technically correct solution can be an expensive business mistake. Context is therefore not an opening courtesy. It is input for every further recommendation.
I separate the problem from its loudest symptom
A campaign decline can be an advertising problem. But it can also reveal a weak offer, a broken page, poor measurement or sales capacity that cannot process enquiries in time.
That is why I review the connections. In an online project I check access, account ownership, measurement, website, campaigns, content, email marketing and handover of contacts. Only then does it make sense to say where to intervene.
We decide the order. We do not create another endless list.
A good strategy is not a list of everything a company could do. It is an order of decisions and a deliberate NO to things that will not receive capacity now.
I assess each step by expected impact, cost, risk, time to verification and dependency on other people or systems. The result should be a plan that can genuinely be worked through.
I build measurement for decisions, not for a pretty dashboard
Data should answer a question asked in advance. If we only collect events because GA4 can, the volume of the report grows, not management’s confidence.
We clarify what the business result is, which signals lead to it and when we have enough information for the next step. Sometimes that is an order or enquiry. Elsewhere it is a qualified contact, a repeat visit or progress in an important group of pages.
Decision-making does not stop after launch
A plan is a hypothesis with accountability, not a tablet carved in stone. After implementation, we watch what changed, what was only noise and whether the priority needs adjusting.
When the result does not match expectations, I do not look for a way to defend the original recommendation. I look for which assumption was wrong and what that means for the next step.
My work does not replace your people. It gives their work a shared purpose.
A PPC specialist should see how their work connects to the offer and sales. A developer should know which customer obstacle they are fixing. A content specialist should know the questions a client asks before enquiring.
I step into operations where a technical or analytical translation is needed. But my main role is to hold the connections and the quality of decisions across people.
