Marketing term in context

Entity and knowledge graph

In brief: An entity is a recognizable thing, such as a person, company, place, or product. A knowledge graph stores entities and their relationships in a structured form.

How I use Entity and knowledge graph in practice

I do not use the term as another presentation number. I define the decision it should clarify, the data or observations behind it, and who will change something based on the result. I unify names, identities, contact details, and links to authoritative profiles; structured data is used only for genuinely visible content. I record the baseline, measurement date, and interpretation boundaries so later changes in tools, samples, or question wording are not mistaken for progress.

What to watch out for

The greatest risk is precision that only looks real. Schema markup does not create knowledge or guarantee a search panel, and contradictory data across the web weakens trust. I compare results over time, on a stable sample, and with business context. If the term leads to no concrete next step, there was no analysis, only a new label.

Questions for decisions

  • Which entities does the site describe unambiguously?
  • Are names and relationships consistent?
  • Does structured data match visible content?
  • Which external sources confirm the identity?
