Marketing term in context

Inbound marketing

In brief: Inbound marketing earns attention through useful content and findability when people themselves are solving a related need. It is not free and needs continuity with the offer and care.

How I use inbound marketing in practice

I separate the creative idea from the communication task. First it must be clear who is speaking, what is offered and why it should be trusted. Only then do I add surprise or emotion. I evaluate the result by response quality and subsequent behaviour, not visibility alone.

What to watch for

Attention is not the same as trust. Inbound marketing can provoke reactions while weakening the brand or attracting the wrong audience. Beware unsupported claims, manipulative urgency and formats that overshadow the offer.

Questions for a decision

  • Whom exactly does the message help and in what situation?
  • What single meaning should the person take away?
  • Which proof carries the main promise?
  • How will we capture a quality response and what follows?
