Marketing term in context

SEO article

In brief: An SEO article is content created for a specific information need and technically accessible to search engines. The keyword defines the topic, not the number of repetitions.

How I use SEO article in practice

I begin with the decision the reader should be able to make after reading. I review search results, my own experience, data, and related queries, but do not average the internet. An article needs a clear start, an answer without needless waiting, concrete examples, boundaries of validity, and a next step. After publication I watch queries and page behavior. If it appears for a different search than the one it solves, I change the intent or internal linking, rather than mechanically adding another paragraph.

What to watch out for

The biggest mistake is writing according to competitors’ word counts. Google recommends no article length. A long text can be as empty as a short one. Changing the date without a substantive update or making a separate page for every tiny query variant does not help either.

Questions for decisions

  • Which question should the reader have solved?
  • What do I bring from my own work or analysis?
  • Which claims need a source and date?
  • Which other page should it naturally lead to?
