In brief: AEO is a commonly used name for adapting content so that answer and search systems can understand it and use it when answering a query.
How I use Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) in practice
At the beginning of the page, I answer clearly, then explain the context, limits and decision-making process. I use descriptive headings, genuine authorship, sources and structured data only where they correspond to visible content. For Google, standard SEO practices and useful original content remain the foundation; the AEO label itself does not create a new technical discipline.
What to watch out for
A short definition without experience is easily interchangeable. Mechanical FAQs, hidden text or extra schema do not guarantee a citation or a visit. The answer must be correct and useful after the click as well.
Questions for decision-making
- Are we answering the actual question precisely?
- Do we supplement the definition with our own experience?
- Are the author and source of the claim clear?
- Will the page also help a person who already knows the short answer?
